RANA is delighted to announce that RANA Holi 2015 will be held this year on Saturday, March 14th at Cardoza Park, Kennedy Dr, Milpitas, CA. RANA has been bringing this most popular festival of colors – Holi to Bay Area for past 25 years. Holi is also called the Spring Festival, and it is sometimes compared to Spain’s Tamatino festival. RANA Holi brings a thrilling atmosphere of dancing to live DJ music and throwing vibrant hues of color in an open air setting. It provides a day of complete entertainment, partying with Bollywood music beats and enjoying authentic Rajasthani food.
“I would like to personally extend an invitation to our community of many cultures and faith traditions to join us in playing Holi this year. It is an opportunity to strengthen the bond of unity and friendship for which RANA has chosen a perfect weekend. We thank the City of Milpitas for permitting us to host the event at Cardoza Park.” said Nirmal Jain, President of RANA, San Francisco Bay Area
This year RANA is preparing to host more than 3,000 people to participate in the Holi celebration. Even though it is an Indian festival, RANA Holi has attracted people from many different cultures and the mainstream Bay Area community including many local and International dignitaries.
Holi festival celebrates good harvests and the onset of beautiful spring. People greet each other with Gulal, the organic colored powder in vibrant red, yellow and green, often mixed with water. RANA Holi brings in harmony and awareness amongst the communities at large through their participation in a rich cultural and colorful experience. It is a great way to bring our communities together to experience Indian culture, music and delicious food.
Each year, the Holi celebration by RANA promises colors, music, dance, Rajasthani lunch and lots of fun for all ages. RANA Holi 2015 is supported by our GOLD Sponsors www.visitorscoverage.com most
